The thirty-second edition of the Shooting competitions in Iran, focusing on air weapons, was held after a four-year hiatus on December 8, 2023, at the shooting site of the Azadi Sports Complex. This edition of the competitions witnessed remarkable enthusiasm from athletes across the country, who competed in both air rifle and air pistol categories for men.

The support from the Tourism Financial Group and Mahan Industries and Mines Development Company played a crucial role in reviving these competitions and making their reorganization possible after years of hiatus. This support underscores the commitment of these companies to the development of sports in the country, particularly shooting sports, which have faced numerous challenges in recent years.

The participation of 70 athletes in the air rifle category and 90 athletes in the air pistol category from 23 and 30 provinces, respectively, demonstrated the shooting community's enthusiasm for these competitions. Additionally, the presence of 50 coaches and supervisors alongside the athletes highlighted the significance of Shooting competitions in Iran and efforts to enhance their technical and quality level.

At the end of this edition of the competitions, Tehran province achieved the championship title in the team category. This reflects the dynamism and strength of this province in shooting sports. In the individual categories, outstanding shooters from various provinces managed to secure top positions.

These competitions provided a valuable opportunity for identifying and nurturing young talents in this sport and for enhancing the readiness level of national shooters for participation in international competitions.

Furthermore, these competitions highlighted the significant role of the private sector in supporting the country's sports, especially less privileged sports disciplines. The support from the Tourism Financial Group and Mahan Industries and Mines Development Company for these competitions serves as a model for other private companies to fulfill their social responsibilities and support the country's sports.

Overall, the thirty-second edition of the national air weapons shooting championships stands as an important and successful sports event, marking a milestone in the history of this sport.
